Masking and Testing

UC WMRC currently has several COVID-19 guidelines in place. Group leaders are responsible for informing their group about these guidelines. To see up to date guidelines, please visit the link below:

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

The UC White Mountain Research Center is looking forward to further ramping-up operations and supporting your research and educational activities.

However, in the face of the continuing challenges posed by COVID-19, the University of California, UCLA and the WMRC are determined to operate in a manner that places your health, the health of our other clients and staff, and the health of our local communities, at the forefront.  To that end, the WMRC will be operating in strict accordance with UC and UCLA COVID-19 policies.

As of September 1, 2021 all staff, and anyone staying at WMRC facilities for research or education activities will be required to meet UC/UCLA vaccination requirements HERE

In brief, you will need to provide evidence of receiving your primary vaccination series or booster (those who are eligible) for COVID-19 prior to arrival at the WMRC. To determine booster shot eligibility please visit CDC.gov

This is an UC and UCLA requirement, consistent with the laws of the State of California, and will not be waived in cases where your country, state, other jurisdiction or organization has rules against requests for vaccination status or against disclosure of vaccination status.

At WMRC, we will be working to make the vaccination verification process as easy as possible and maintain your confidentiality.  The WMRC will respect such exemptions granted by your affiliated institution, employer, or medical doctor, but will require you follow specific masking and social distancing practices for the protection of your health and the health of others while you are at WMRC facilities. You are required to provide your official exemption to WMRC prior to staying at our facilities.

Thank you for your understanding and help in keeping the WMRC safe for all,

Glen MacDonald, Director
