The Sierra Rotors (T-REX)
Project is an NSF-funded project to study mountain-wave induced rotors

vorticies with strong turbulence, can pose severe aeronautical hazards.
This project, involving aircraft and ground sampling, will use WMRS as
the flight operations center in March-April 2006.
