Call for Artists: WMRC Fundraiser Fall Art Show

WMRC, in collaboration with Inyo Council of the Arts (IAC), is extending an invitation to local artists to submit work for its community celebration and fundraiser in October 2025.

UC White Mountain Research Center (WMRC) is celebrating 75 years of scientific achievement and education in the Eastern Sierra. In following with a tradition of science intertwined with art and beauty as a form or science, WMRC, in collaboration with Inyo Council of the Arts (IAC), is extending an invitation to local artists to submit work for its community celebration and fundraiser in October 2025.

The overall theme of the work is “Science in Nature”, that highlights the natural and historical aspects of the White Mountain range and surrounding area. Pieces will be accepted in all mediums, the preferred size of 2-dimensional work is no larger than 24 inches, and 3-dimensional work no larger than 14 cubic inches. Two-dimensional work must be ready for hanging. Please limit 1 submission per artist. There is no entry fee. The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2025. Pieces may be shipped or dropped off at White Mountain Research Center, 3000 E. Line St., Bishop, CA 93514. Please include the title of your work, medium, your name, your location, and minimum bid amount with your piece. A select number of works will be displayed at the IAC gallery in Bishop during the month of August. Submitted work will be silent auctioned on October 18th, 2025 at the WMRC community celebration in benefit of UC WMRC Participants are encouraged to attend this event.
