Bill Krebs, UCLA & WMRC alumn, will be presenting “Exploring Antarctica with Microscope and Camera, 1971-1973 Seasonal Dynamics of Coastal Phytoplankton (Diatom) Growth and Its Preservation in Sediments.” Bill will discuss the seasonal dynamics of diatoms and how past changes in Antarctic climate and oceanography can be recognized through diatom sedimentation.
